Andrew Spannaus is a strategic analyst and freelance journalist based in Milan, Italy.
He received a degree in Philosophy from James Madison University (Virginia) in 1993.
Starting in the mid-1990s Spannaus began work as a foreign correspondent for Executive Intelligence Review, focusing on macroeconomic issues and the need for a reform of the international financial system. In response to the global crisis of 2007-2008 he worked with numerous Italian parliamentarians on the campaign to restore the Glass-Steagall principle, the separation of commercial and investment banking.
In 2013 he founded the newsletter and consulting service Transatlantico.info, aimed at government institutions and businesses.
He speaks often at public and private conferences and his analysis of global geopolitics has been presented in numerous Italian publications, as well as international media such as Xinhua. Spannaus is a member of the Board of Auditors of the Milan Foreign Press Association.
His book Perchè vince Trump (Why Trump is Winning) was released in Italy in June 2016.
